One of the more well-known parables by Jesus is the Parable of the Prodigal Son, in which the son of a wealthy goes off with his inheritance and squanders it. Only for him to return in the hopes that his father would forgive him, and it was then that the father celebrates with a huge party because of his son's return. What would that story sound like if Jesus retold that parable to a modern day audience? Who do all the people in the parable represent?
