07-15-2012 Christian Civility- Pastor Mark Rossington

One of the hardest things to do is trying to be civil towards people that would love nothing more than to argue with you and get their point heard over yours. It's very hard to keep your cool and be civil towards them when there's nothing but vile words and loud talking heading your way. We see it on TV all the time when there's a major topic being discussed on a major news program and we have come to accept that that's the norm and yelling at each other is how discussions are done. How do you deal with people that talk over you and make it very hard for your points to be heard? Pastor Mark has noticed that this hasn't been discussed much and decided to talk about it in Sunday's sermon. He gives examples of where we see it and how we can be civil towards someone that isn't showing the same cuourtesy. This little sermon can be found right here for your listening pleasure.

07-08-2012 What Do You Do When Your Life is Falling Apart? - Pastor Mark Rossington

The downside of living in the world that we live in is that there are times where everything just seems to crash and burn out of nowhere. One moment you can be enjoying your time with the people you know and love and the next you get news of something bad that has happened. It can be a death, a job lose, financial struggles, or even major surgery, but whatever it is, it can become overwhelming. How do you get through it when it seems like nothing is going right and everything is going down hill? Pastor Mark talks about how you can overcome these obstacles and that when you have God in your corner, you can find ways and the strength to get through them. The sermon can be found here for your listening convenience.

07-01-2012 Fishing is Fun!- Pastor Mark Rossington

Fishing is one of the great and relaxing pass times in the summer where you just hop into a boat and go to your local lake for some fish hunting. It's the time where you get to hang out with friends and family with the main goal of catching as much fish as you possibly can. What does fishing have to do with going out and telling people about the Gospel? Well, there are some intersting parallels between the two that not very many people know about and can become quite useful when you're out with people and have that chance. Pastor Mark talked about it on this past Sunday about how to go out and be fishermen of people and how you can use techniques from actual fishing and use it when around people. Curious? That little sermon can be found in the tackle box right here.
