12-16-2012 Sermon- Pastor Mark Rossington

A terrible tragedy has struck Newtown, Connecticut and everyone has been wondering why such a thing has happened. There are many explanations as to why someone would do such a thing and none of them really seem to fit. People try to explain the evil in this world, and there are so many reasons as to why there is it gets confusing and muddled. Is there really a real reason for tragedies such as this? And if so, what is it? Pastor Mark tackles that thought and talks about how human sin can be a terrible force and uses an event that happened to Lake Erie as an illustration to what human sin is capable of, and what God can do in situations such as these. 12-09-2012 John The Baptist- Pastor Mark Rossington

It's that time of the church year where the story of Jesus' birth is told and as well as the events that lead up to it. One of them is learning about John the Baptist, and what role he played in with Jesus, but what was it?  What was so special about him that it was recorded in the Bible? Was he really a crazy hermit that paintings have portrayed him as? Pastor Mark talked about John the Baptist and explained in detail how he grew up and how important he was to Jesus, and not just because they were cousins. He also talked about how his life and what he did before Jesus came onto the world stage means for us today. The sermon about John the Baptist can be found right here for your listening pleasure.

12-02-2012 Always Expecting, Never Worried- Pastor Mark Rossington

It's that time of year where talks of the Second Coming are becoming more and more prevalent, and there are even TV shows dedicated to talking about just that. There are lots of speculation about what will happen and what the signs are so that we will know when it's coming, and even how to be prepared for when it happens. With all that being thrown about, what does the Second Coming really mean? Should we even watch out for it? Pastor Mark talked about that this past Sunday, and spoke about how we should watch for it, but not be worried about it like the outside world tells us we should. Curious to know more about it? The sermon can be found right here for your listening pleasure.
