09-23-2012 Securing Your Insecurites- Pastor Mark Rossington

Being secure with one's self is something that everyone tries to achieve and maintain, and can be a major task depending on what's going on in one's life. When that fork in the road comes up and a choice is presented, it's scary to decide what's best and we tend to overthink the situation, and our mind plays games with us. The actual act may not be as scary as we think it is, but our own insecurites will come flashing up at the worst possible moment. So how do you deal with that? What do you do when your own insecurites came up and will not leave? "Securing Your Insecurites" is the title and the main focus of the sermon that Pastr Mark preached on this past Sunday. He talks about one main figure from the Old Testament that went through it and how, with time, those insecurites will go away if you put your trust in God to help you through it. That little sermon can be found right here.

09-02-2012 Trusting In God When You Don't Feel Like It- Pastor Mark Rossington

When you put your trust in someone, like a friend or family member, or something, like a car or medication, what does it mean? We put our trust in things all the time and if something bad happens we feel like our trust has been betrayed, and when given a second chance we question it. Sometimes we casually trust something where depending on our mood and how we are feeling, we might put our trust into that one person or thing. Pastor Mark tackles that area in the sermon series Trusting God where he goes into detail about how trust isn't an emotion, how we can trust God 24/7 and how to break away from being apathetic. Wanna hear more? The fourth part in that sermon series can be found right here.
