Hanging out with friends and family is something we do on a regular basis, and is a way to get closer with each other while having fun at the same time. Laughing and joking with those people, or even having a serious conversation with co-workers about a major project that's due. One of the key elements of talking with them is not the communication part, but the listening part. How well do we really do that though? Interrupting, not paying attention, and even not taking their words to heart is somthing of a common occurance that all of us do whether we realize it or not.
